32 Movies that are Acceptable and Comfortable to Watch with your Elderly Parent(s).

Written from personal experience with my elderly 84 year-old mother.  Born in the 1930’s and growing up in a much “cleaner” world, I struggle to find movies that I can watch on movie-nights with mom. I literally have to preview movies prior to sitting down with her and make sure there is no unacceptable cursing, violence or passionate kissing scenes. The worst feeling in the world is when you have to be in a state of anxiety throughout a movie, clutching the remote with your finger ready to hit the stop button when you see your parent shifting in their seat in contempt.  For Caregivers, this can sometimes be one of the most arduous tasks at hand! Over the last couple years, I have compiled a list of movies that have passed my mom’s viewing comfort-level; some more than other’s. Overall, when you are wanting to have that movie-night, this list will at least serve you up something safe to share with them.
